Wicks LifeLine Air System

The Patented Air System for Survival in Fire Emergencies.

"New Protection from Toxic Smoke in Fire Resistant Buildings."

Two Important Benefits of the Wicks LifeLine Air System
  • Simplicity and Convenience
Its uniqueness lies in the use of commonly available components, UL listed where required, combined in a practical, easily understood assembly.

It makes use of elements of plumbing systems that are normal parts of every structure, and augments them with air compressors, pressure sensitive valves and similar accessories. This makes it easy and economical to install in new construction, or conveniently retrofit existing structures with minimal interruption.

  • Safety for All
It addresses aspects of fire protection for individuals with limited mobility. Specifically, it brings protection from toxic smoke closer to the areas normally used by all occupants.

Its applications coordinate very well with the increasing recognition of the advantages of non-evacuation in fire emergencies in compartmented fire resistant buildings.

The system solves one of the main concerns of the non-evacuation ("defend in place") philosophy: it provides unlimited fresh air to the occupants of an area of refuge, while actively producing a barrier to the entrance of toxic smoke.
